Cute.

For being a shorter story, it took a really long time to read. I liked the story and the characters, overall, but wish it had been a quicker read.

Samantha Lind is a new to me author and after reading this book I know I will be reading more in the future. I didn’t know what to expect going into this book and it was a great surprise.

Megan has faced challenges all her life, but I love that she doesn’t let anything hold her back. She lives her life to the fullest. After spending a lot of time in hospitals growing up she knew she wanted to work in one, specifically helping children. Now, she has landed that dream job. What she doesn’t expect a certain doctor. Drew is a children’s cardiac doctor. He loves his job. His brother was his inspiration when it came to a career choice and he wants to continue helping children the way doctors helped his brother. His focus has always been his career and his patients, however, from the moment he falls into Megan’s lap there was something that changed.

I loved Drew. He was sweet, swoony, kind, loving, pretty much perfect. I love how he was with Megan. He never once treated her differently. He took everything into consideration when it came to Megan and it was sweet. Megan, I love her, too. I love that she doesn’t let anything hold her back. Plus, her excitement over life is contagious. The chemistry between Megan and Drew is fantastic and the fact that she understands that his patients are important and that sometimes they do have to come to first is amazing.

Cocky Doc is a MUST READ!

What a sweet book! No angst, no drama just two beautiful people and the story of how they fall in love.

Drew the hotshot pediatric cardiologist should be an egomaniac but he isn’t, he has a huge heart that is just waiting for the right girl. In rolls Megan in her wheelchair, and she literally has Drew tripping over his heart and right into her arms, well it was her lap but you know what that means.

This story shows two strong loyal individuals falling in love, you don’t have to root for them because you can see how perfect they are for each other and how their storybook romance will play out and all you need to do is just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Working for an organization whose mission is to ensure that individuals with disabilities have the same opportunities as able-bodied individuals has really opened my eyes to the trials and tribulations that these individuals face. So reading a book set in my favorite Cocky Hero world with a main character with a disability was a breath of fresh air. The author did a phenomenal job of not making Megan's disability a road block to her success as a Child Life Specialist, to living independently, or to having a relationship with Drew. Megan's disability did not define her so oftentimes, unless the character made reference to her disability, I forgot that she had one. While there was no real conflict between Megan and Drew, this was still a great story that shed a positive light on disabilities. Kudos to Samantha!

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Drew and Meghan’s story is such a sweet and unique story. There is a lot to unpack in this story. First off Meghan has cerebral palsy and is mostly confined to a wheelchair. Her out look on life and her passions are unique to her. She is a Child Life Coordinator (CLC) at the Pediatric Hospital where Drew works. Drew is the head of Pediatric Surgical Cardiology but also comes from an influential family.
Drew literally trips over Meghan to introduce himself to her. There is an instant spark between the two of them, but it is thanks to some creative meddling from Drew’s Cousin Lucy, who is also Meghan’s colleague that brings them together.
Drew is really a good guy! He approaches the relationship with Meghan with such sweetness and gentleness not because of her situation but because he really likes her. There are so many sweet considerate things he does for her. He doesn’t talk down to her instead he moves to be eye level with her. He is always thinking about how he can make things easier for her and convenient for her life since she has the wheelchair. He sees Meghan as a whole person not someone damaged and in need of help.
Drew isn’t perfect he has a lot of worries and self doubt about how Meghan will handle the demands of his career. Being a Pediatric Cardiologist is what makes Drew, Drew and he worries that the demand of it is too much for anyone to truly understand. He misses important events because of emergencies and demands on his time. What he seems to forget in his moments of self-doubt is that due to her own life circumstances she has a better understand than most about the demands and emergencies.
I really like these 2. It is a very sweet and romantic love story. It has just the right amount of steam to keep it on the romantic side. This was a 4/5 read for me. (I share my hang ups on the story on my blog at https://Bookcaseandcoffee.com )

Cocky Doc is part of the British Bedmates realm.

Cocky Doc was a story that gripped me from the start, one that gave me much more than I expected. As much as I loved it, I couldn’t quite bring myself to round my three-point-five-star rating up to a four-star rating.

I think what stopped me from rounding this one up is that the characters fell into the romance extremely quickly, and I wanted to watch thing develop a bit more first. Add in the fact that the ending felt very quick, and I feel the middle was the strongest. I adored things between the characters, I loved how much was included, but I feel it started and ended a bit too quickly and I would have liked a wee bit more from both.

Although it wasn’t quite enough for me to round the rating up, I was hooked on this.

This was an okayish book.. i just felt something was missing between Megan and Drew.. it was pretty slow.. I didnt connect with their relationship because they were always working and when they had a moment or something and would be interrupted by work or talking about work heck most of this book is about work.. . I get it you both are doctors dealing with lots of big things.. but could have separated that work life and home life I wanted them more hot and heavy more focused on them. :/ and I know he's a awesome doctor.. but lord.. did we need a 6 week separation for him to do doctors without boarders?
Which was sad because i don't think i read a wheelchair character before and wanted more for them in that department. :( the characters were great just..wish it was more..I had high hopes for this book.

No ow/om drama, No cheating, sexy times, no virgins (talked about their past relationship)
