I really enjoyed this. I love the characters and their relationships with each other. I love of all the Japanese inspiration and that ending had me on the edge of my seat, desperate to know what was going to happen!

I loved the incorporation of Japanese mythology! The characters continued to be unique, as does the world building. A very fun time!

Let me start by saying that I LOVED Shadow of the Fox so when I saw this was available I knew I had to read it. Unfortunately I didn't love it as much as I did the first book. The story continues right where it left off but this just seemed more detailed and less action despite all that is going on. There were a ton of descriptions of things that didn't seem all the necessary and inner monologues of the characters that I could have done without. That being said there were parts of this that were great, basically the last 30% where it picks up a bit. We are left with a bit of a cliffhanger and lots of questions so you know I'll be reading the last of this trilogy.

Arc provided by Harlequin Teen via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

SPOILER!!!

I am 1000000000% here for Daisuke & Okame!

I loved it

I just live this series. It has everything and does not get bore! It’s not dragged out and has a purpose!
