I might come back to this book in the future. I started this book right before Israel started bombing civilians in Gaza relentlessly, and reading this book was giving me nightmares.

really strong start, as for the rest of the book not do much. the way the book uses religion and body horror is really fucking good and the cover is beautiful but there’s something about it that fell flat to me
there were too many chatacters and too little focus on them, especially for a “found family” book
still a nice read tho
