This was so moving. I recommend so many people to read this. It’s amazing and twisted. And tells you a lot about our systems today. Warning, check the trigger warnings before reading if you’re pretty sensitive to these kinds of topics. But I still think it should be read since the world isn’t alll good in real life. Fiction mirrors reality sometimes.

This book definitely lived up to the hype! I went into this book knowing nothing and so I was finding out all the information with the characters as the book progressed, which really added to the tension.

I do wish that the “thriller” aspects of the book had started just a little bit earlier as it did take me a bit to get into the book, but once things started unfolding I was hooked!

This book was amazing, I devoured it in two days and could hardly put it down. It was such a wild ride, and really eye opening. I loved the growing friendship between Chiamaka and Devon even if they came from different backgrounds, and the ending swept me off my feet. The queer representation was fantastic as well. I will absolutely recommend this book till the day I die.

This was great. so intense, but in a great way, tho not sure that sounds right. at first, i didn't like chiamaka. she knew what she wanted, sure, but she still acted very naive and very mean. but she got there in the end, so i liked her also. devon was my favourite since the beginning. he was a little pessimistic, but at least more realistic than Chiamaka xd also i love his mom so much... honestly, i figured this book will have a strong theme of racism (which is why i picked it up) i did not expect this. this was so much more.
