I have not read the original story - but Edith's graphic adaptation is beautiful - beautiful story of Tom and Hattie, Tom traveling through time to visit her. Beautiful art work. Loved this.

A lovely graphic adaptation of a childhood favorite. Illustrator Édith beautifully captures the essence of this story of two young people who help ease each other's loneliness across the divide of time.

I’ve never read the original book but the graphic novel was alright. Interesting story and the artwork is good.

This story was so engrossing and evocative... it pulled me in and didn't let me go for one second until I'd finished the whole thing.
The illustrations were very nice; I liked a lot of the effects such as Tom's "thinness" and the fiery tree.
I especially loved Tom's conversations with his uncle where they were never quite on the same wavelength-- hilarious! And I could feel Tom's desperation as the time ticked down to when he'd have to leave his aunt and uncle's house...
There's a bit of a mystery to the story, even after most of the questions are answered. Where did the clock come from? Why was Abel able to see Tom in the Garden? But the ending was still quite satisfying.
I've never read the novel upon which this graphic version is based. I'm quite curious to read it now, and see if it is as magical as this!

Très belle histoire : on y rentre facilement, on a envie de savoir.
Ca m'a rappelé le film "Le jardin secret" donc double impression positive =)
