Quirky, charming, smart, nostalgic. I'm really glad I picked this book up over the holidays. It was like a special little flashback to my childhood, personal and sweet and felt like it was written just for me. If you read this as a child, read it again. You'll be very happy you went on this adventure again. If you've never read it, definitely pick it up. You'll read it in one sitting and it will make you smile.

Alice in Wonderland is my fave Disney movie so it was fun to listen to this. Very cute and quick!

Like being invited to a party by mistake and having to listen to the host and their guest tell inside jokes the entire time. Utter nonsense, lacking in fun, without anything interesting to say. The art is beautiful and perhaps the only reason for the book's enduring reputation. The few interesting images the book musters are made iconic by John Tenniel.

Very quirky and cute! I expected it to be thoroughly creepy, because every version I've ever seen on film has definitely been creepy. But this felt more like C.S. Lewis had written it. I guess there's a certain tongue-in-cheek yet innocent feel to the way old British authors write. Everyone in the story besides Alice is a complete moron, but in a hilarious way. It's still quite an episodic story though. There isn't much of a plot; it's just one random thing after another happening to Alice until she wakes up and finds (spoiler alert) that it's all been a dream.

Lewis Carroll: using the word “savage” to great effect.
