A wonderful addition to the Hidden Figures collection, this book gives a great overview of these amazing 4 women and all that they overcame to become who they were. I read it to 3rd grade and they really enjoyed it.

As with the longer young readers' edition of Hidden Figures, it helps that I saw the movie first. One thing that is a bit misleading in the film, however, is that the women did not necessarily know each other that well; the book does not profess that. I was a bit confused that the picture on the first page shows them with NASA name badges, when they first started working for NACA, but that is explained later and in the timeline. The illustrations are very rich and well done.
