I had never heard of this author or book until I read an interview with Freida McFadden that listed her favorite thrillers. This book made the list, so I decided to pick it up. I'm so glad I did. I'm definitely going to read more from that list.
This was a very compelling, thought-provoking read. It's a fictional thriller, but it also successfully brings attention to very serious real-world events that actually occurred. It made me realize how much I live in my own bubble of my own life. I need to try to be more mindful of all that's going on in the world around me, not just in Palestine and Ukraine. Reading it, I was on the edge of my seat from the onset. It is a nonstop rollercoaster ride. A suspenseful, fun, fast paced well written story. I would definitely recommend it to suspense and thriller fans.

Easy read and kept my attention. A couple twists and turns but also fairly predictable. Either way I’d still recommend this book if you’re looking for a quick read

First airplane disaster story I have read, and I guess it's not for me.
I had high hopes on this and I was so excited to read it. The plot sounded so promising, but the more I read it, the more I realized that unfortunately it's not.
First off, most parts are unrealistic. How is it that they have a very good internet connection throughout the flight?? And all the gas attacks... how is it possible that all of them have survived it? Realistically, one way or another, someone surely gets hurt, right?
Second, the motivation for hijacking the plane was just not well written & developed enough, I guess. Could've added some more twists to make it even more suspenseful, heavier & gripping.
Lastly, this would make for a good movie, but not for a book!

Mimo różnych recenzji nie uważam tej książki za złą pozycję. Akcja toczy się szybko i dynamicznie, przez co przypomina dobrze wyreżyserowany thriller.
Oczywiście można znaleźć kilka niedociągnięć oraz niezbyt logicznych wątków, ale nie jest to jakoś bardzo rażące w odbiorze. Jedyną kwestią na minus jest dość przewidywalne zakończenie, ale uważam że niektórym właśnie taki koniec historii może się spodobać :)

TJ Newman is just amazing, the way she writes these books are phenomenal. It feels like an action movie in the best way possible and I genuinely cannot believe these haven’t been turned into movies. I struggled to put this book down and just wanted to keep reading more and more. Highly highly recommend.

Reminds me of a Liam Neeson or Nicholas Cage thriller movie

I LOVED this thriller! It kept my heart racing and the pages turning. I'm a Mets fan, but as a New Yorker there was a specific scene that brought me to tears (that happens never). If you're even remotely interested in aircrafts, baseball or just want a really solid thriller to speed through, look no further. I fit into all three categories, so this book was a perfect fit. I can't believe it was this author’s debut novel!
The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the character of Theo. The author was a flight attendant, and while I'm sure what we got from the in-flight vantage point was spot on, she didn't quite do her homework when it came to operational security on the ground. Everything that character did was wrong and then he got a promotion…
Otherwise, incredible read!
