I really enjoyed this one, but it was a bit darker than book one for sure. Here we have Juniper's story during the same time as Rae's. She's a failed sacrifice for the God in the mines. She escaped, and now she's back for revenge. 

With the help of the self serving demon, Zane, she comes up with a plan to completely get rid of the family who turned her into this monster. She learns that Zane is there for much more than her soul, and will take his time earning it all. This was full of rage and tension, and oh so good spice.
