The final installment of the I am number four series did not disappoint. It was an enthralling journey of action and angst while the rest of the Loric prepare to fight Setrakus Ra. This series was amazing from start to finish despite its flaws here and there. If you’re ready for an emotional roller coaster then dove into the final book of a great sci-fi series!

It feels so sad that this series is finally over for me, I've been reading and re-reading this series since before I could remember without ever getting to the final two books. I think this conclusion gave me everything that I could have hoped for, without insinuating at any spoilers. There are a few things that leave me wanting more, but I really don't see how they could be resolved, with a series surrounding war there are bound to be endings that aren't happy and that don't feel fair, so all in all I'm satisfied with the way things ended. It even gave a glimpse of the relationship I was mentally rooting for throughout the entire book, which made me so happy.

<Spoiler> Wow. I can’t believe it’s over. I sobbed so hard while reading this book. The ending was predictable from like book 5 but it was done so well I’m not even mad. The final battle was so intense and the characters suffered great loss….of a single chimaera? Seriously that was a little disappointing. I understand John making it out but making literally everyone survive seems too convenient. I really liked how everyone got a unique ending though, it was more realistic and made the ending more final.
This series took such a positive turn from where it started. It’s really come around and ended up being something great like I didn’t expect. I don’t actually know if this is my favorite in the series but the emotion? The resolution? The finality? Definitely a 4.5 stars.
