I'm absolutely smitten by this trilogy and I can honestly say it's been a long time since I've read something this good. I'm usually prone to reading much lighter stories without suspense and drama, but I'm glad I chose to read this one.
It was emotional, hilarious, steamy and heart-wrenching in a perfectly balanced combination. I loved how I never knew what was about to come next. There was always a dark cloud looming over the story when I knew something shocking was going to happen and it did. Just not something I expected, and it left me excited and disappointed at the same time because I realized this wasn't the love story I expected, but excited how all this would unfold.
So I highly recommend this trilogy and I can say the second book is great too! Prepare for a hell of a ride!

Aly Martinez's catastrophic romances always make their way to the top of my TBR and I drop everything else to dive in ASAP. I have been so excited for this trilogy (we get 3 books!!!!) and The Difference Between Somebody and Someone was AMAZING! I don't want to give anything away, but I will say I did not see the twist coming and was blown away. I cannot wait to read the next book!

Really good start to a trilogy.
A bit odd, a bit vague.
The Hero is mourning his fiance, and I was put off slightly as he reminisces over their relationship, happiness and later issues and for me romance isn't reading about a Hero falling for a heroine but in he was so in love with his previous partner that he makes comparisons or is still thinking about them.

Dual POV.
Memories of intimacy with his fiance, intimate scenes with the heroine.
Flashbacks.

Spoiler
Huge spoiler

Remi, the heroine and his fiance, Sally are the same person but she lost her memory after the plane crash and as she had undergone so much trauma prior to that he stayed away.

I didn't notice any relationships for either of them during the separation.

Cliffhanger ending.
Trilogy.

Holy curveball!!! I totally did not see that one coming at all. Remi and Bowen both suffer traumatic events after being survivors of a plane crash. They meet each other at the courthouse when the airplane company reaches a settlement with the families. The events that lead Remi and Bowen into each others lives is heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same time. This book does come with a cliffhanger.

I almost DNF this book but then read a spoiler and decided to finish.
At first, Bowen seemed waaaaaay to intense. Like chill out but knowing the back story, I get it now
But I feel like nothing really happens in the book so it eas actually boring
They don’t give details on the plane crash, it’s just a drag

This was an amazing read! Bowen and Remi's story was one of loss, heartbreak, and new beginnings. The laughs and road to happiness all started with a safety pin, and I can't wait to continue their story!
