Wow this book was amazing. Faith Summer did an amazing job. Aiden and Olivia story is powerful. Olivia is trying to find her brother and the clues lead to Aiden. Aiden is on his own mission to find his son. The twists that happen in this story make you keep reading. I can't for more in this Dark Syndicate Universe. You don't have to read the others to read this. But now I want to go back and read the others.

I’m a sucker for a captive romance. Olivia has had a difficult life. Being held captive by Aidan Romanov was just the icing on the cake. Olivia and Aidan had strong chemistry. They were working towards finding missing loved ones that were intertwined in ways they would have never guessed.

This book is an excellent addition to this awesome series!

Now this is what I wanted to see from this series!

After receiving news that his son is still alive after nine years of believing that both his son and wife perished in a fire, Aiden sets out to discover - with the aid of the other members of The Syndicate - where his son is after all this time. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, Olivia is being forced to marry Jude Kuzmin (might have spelled that wrong or got it wrong altogether) since she is next in line to inherit her family's tech company, and Jude, being a gigantic dip, wants both the company and the beautiful Olivia as his own. Olivia has overheard a conversation between Jude and someone he was speaking with over the phone, though, indicating that her brother (who they thought died in a car crash with his best friend Robert) is still very much alive, that someone staged his death. Under the guise of picking out a wedding dress, Olivia goes to L.A. with Aiden's name and photograph (he was connected to The Order as an enforcer) as the only real source of how to locate her brother who was also part of this mysterious Order. Their coming together unravels more of the mystery surrounding The Syndicate and of The Order, who wants to take The Syndicate down and use their wealth and resources to their own means.

The spice is excellent.
The action is excellent.
The characterization is so much better compared to the last installment.

Love this series!

I really love this series. Olivia and Aiden’s story was so enjoyable. I’m looking forward to Eric’s story. As usual, though, the book is filled with so many grammar and word choice mistakes. Writers should not rely solely on spellcheck because it’s not foolproof. Aiden puts his hands around Olivia s [waste], not her waist. Your/you’re and to/too are mixed up quite a bit. In one paragraph, both retinol and retinal are used. These things drive me nuts and take away from the reading experience. And - SPOILER - why did Eric go go Aiden for help to find R..... when Eric is the computer genius? Despite all this, I will still read the rest of the series because the characters and stories are so good - maybe just find an editor or proofreader!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Merciless Hunter by Faith Summers is the fourth book Dark Syndicate series. Others from earlier in the series do appear throughout. It is a stand alone but definitely better to read the series in order. In this dark romance story, it unfolds to be the love and survival story of Aiden Romanov, the Bratva Pakhan of the Los Angeles Brotherhood and Olivia Markov.

In the past Aiden betrayed The Order. Because of this, he lost his wife and his infant son. His heart was broken. Olivia Markov sold her life to another man in order to try and protect her family. She is a strong and undaunted in her "mission" but she needs help. Will Aiden help Olivia when she needs him most?

Merciless Hunter is about power, betrayal and ultimately revenge but is also about family, friendships and love. This plot is gritty and raw with characters that are quite intense. There is quite a bit of violence in the story along with instances of dubious consent. If you have triggers pay attention to the warnings. It is not a story for everyone. Nonetheless I did enjoy the book. (Not sure enjoy is the right word.) The story grabbed my attention and held through to the end. The characters while dark still are compelling. Merciless Hunter is a story to check out.
