What an amazing way to conclude one of my favourite series. Everlasting is a fast paced, action packed beautiful ending and conclusion to the immortals series. I'm surprised to say that I'm not sad that the series is finally at the end. When I finished reading Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy #6), I was sad that I wouldn't ever read another book by Richelle Mead written from Rose's POV, yet I was excited for bloodlines. It's been an awesome journey, and the immortals will always have a place in my heart. Go Alyson Noel!!

I was about as invested in this book as I was in Blue Moon.

And no, that's not a good thing.

Honestly, this entire book seemed kind of pointless, what with that whole journey thing, though I did really like Adelina's life, because I just live for that historical stuff. But the freeing-lost-souls scene was cheesy, especially since everybody was just like, "hey, I forgive for for damning me to an eternity of torture, let's all skip off into the sunset." You could almost taste the rainbows.

And all that tree-of-life crap. With magical fruit. Dear lord.

Also, Damen was being such an ASS for the vast majority of this book. Like, sorry that Ever isn't agreeing with your every thought, sorry she thinks you made such a mess of things, but bro, CHILL OUT.

I'm so glad I'm done this series. Time for a nap.

FINAL SERIES RATING:
Evermore: 4
Blue Moon: 2.3
Shadowland: 3.1
Dark Flame: 3.3
Night Star: 2
Everlasting: 2.2
Overall Rating: 2.8

First Time Reading: December 2020

FINALLY!! This book is what I've been waiting for since the 1st! Honestly, I wish books 2-5 had been combined. I flew through this book since it actually had a progressing plot. I really enjoyed this final novel. We finally get the resolution everyone was hoping for, but it's not the main point. I'm so happy to see all the character growth.

I don't even, I can't, this series pissed me off so much. It pretty much saw the downfall of the characters from completely likeable to downright idiots and leading to the ultimate Mary-Sue Moment for Ever BECAUSE SHE CAN SAVE EVERYTHING!!!! What was built up in the previous books get shattered in a matter of two pages at the end of the novel and it feels like that everything I read was for nothing. Yeah there was this whole bullshit about the world not wanting them to be together, all of their karma needs to be sorted out and everything but still after all that? It pretty much lands us no where. The book is all over Ever's journey, and Damen's refusal to believe anything she says. Which I'm kinda in his court this time because it seems like most of what she spews is completely bullshit. Her speeches in the book are so long they're like soliloquies that seem to mean nothing except to her. It seems like she's got batshit insane and even Damen is like "yeah I'll let you do whatever as long as it gets this crazy away from me"

I dunno, it was a nice happily ever (ha ha) after resolution, but it wasn't fulfilling. Everything that was worked for in the books is gone. The hatred, all forgiven in a matter of pages. Histories rewritten, pasts learned that popped out of no where. It was kinda like 'oh c'mon you're pull this out of your ass now!' It's just ugh, I would feel better if this wasn't the end and we'd get to see the REAL resolution.

A dissappointing ending, i had higher hopes for this book, after a great start and aweful sequels i wanted the ending to match the start, so that i could feel i didn't waste my time reading all these books... But i was wrong.

Since it's the 6th (!!!) book of the series, I was kinda dreading to read it. I wasn't really into it anymore, it went on for too long. I had to force myself to read the first half.

But after half of the book it finally became better.

I rest my case though: a 6 book series is often too long. It gets boring & in 1-2 books nothing really happens.
