We are descended of the moon, she explained. It was part of the earth until it broke away and spun into space. Water filled the hole it left behind, and that's why the ocean breathes in and out with the moon.

A really great collection of short reads.Enjoyable.

A beautiful, feral collection of short stories that has really stuck with me! This focuses on feminism, gender roles, and women living (and sometimes trying to escape) their realities. While it may not be for everyone, I enjoyed the flowery writing style and absolutely adored the use of magical realism. This was fun, unhinged, and just the down-with-the-patriarchy type of read I was looking looking for! I would definitely read more from this author in the future.

Very poetic writing but not in the mood to read this type of magical fiction.
The two stories I read were interesting but not enough to kept me reading. Everything felt the same.
