I finished this a week ago and I'm STILL thinking about the ending. It reminded me a bit of Murderbot, if Murderbot was a human. This makes his feats less believable and more gruesome, but entertaining nonetheless.
The main character was a bit of an asshole, which got annoying at some points. But overall, lots of action, sometimes funny, and lots of random informative footnotes. Would not recommend if you are easily grossed out by gore.

I liked the medical stuff, as dark as it was. The mob stuff? Eh, not so much. It’s dark and vicious and gallows all the way.
