The fact that their relationship and newly discovered queerness must be hidden adds to the internal turmoil both girls face. Maybe some things were lost in translation but to me the relationship between the main characters didn't make much sense. Especially their conversations felt weird, as if they were each following their own script but never actually reacting to what the other person was saying.

Un grand classique de la littérature lesbienne. Cela est notamment dû à l'époque de sa sortie (années 1950), on ne peut pas dire que les écrits saphiques couraient les rues... D'autant plus qu'il s'agit d'une histoire érotique !
Enfin, "érotique"... La relation parfois franchement malsaine voire abusive, le manque de développement des sentiments, le rythme abrupte et saccadé ; tout cela nuit à l'érotisme. Personnellement, je n'ai pas trouvé cela érotique, à part quelques phrases.
J'ai également rigolé par moments car on y retrouve, je trouve, de grands clichés lesbiens...
Le style de l'autrice, Violette Leduc, n'est pas un style que j'apprécie. Il y avait ici et là de belles phrases dignes de devenir des citations à ressortir à vos crush et/ou plans cul, mais sinon j'ai trouvé cela difficile à lire voire désagréable.
Bref, je comprends que ce soit un classique, mais vous ne louperez rien si vous ne le lisez pas !
