Again, I'd prefer it if this series were managing a touch more original adventures instead of just very thinly veiled copies of scenes/incidents from the movie.

BUT this one is probably still the most in-depth and complicated of the series thus far and begins to delve more into the psyche of the characters involved.

Still can't possibly resist reading more of Jareth's backstory!

Jareth's origin story. Kind of. The drawing is just stunning and the story is so good that I preordered volumes 2 and 3 as soon as I finished this 👍🏻 OMG all those beautiful illustrations of David Bowie in goblin king mode Jareth... Have I ever mentioned that to me Labyrinth is the cusp of 80s perfection??? ❤❤

I love this, it stopped too soon. I can't wait to read the next part.

A nice, if fairly predictable ending.

A very fitting conclusion to Jareth’s origin story that tied in characters and events from the original movie quite nicely. I adored coming back to the Labyrinth and exploring its history, Jareth’s history.

With some new characters and some old, volume two continues Jareth’s origin story with just as much excitement as volume one left off on. Who to trust and which direction is the right path are questions Maria MUST figure out to outwit the Owl King and escape the labyrinth with her most treasured prize. I am anxious to learn how the story ends and leads us to the Jareth of the Labyrinth movie.

The comics wonderfully capture Jareth’s essence. I loved reading new material from the world of Labyrinth. Maria, Jareth’s mom, ventured on a risky quest just like Sarah… this is how her quest began. Nothing in the labyrinth is ever quite what it seems, which the story reminds soon after Maria arrives. I need to know more to her story.
