Not as good as the first volume. The focus shifted from the main characters, and while it never was a super character focused story it still weakened the volume and made it hard to be invested. The general plot was interesting, but it would have been better without the final twist which was needlessly confusing.

Arguably too obvious and talky instead of leaving the themes implied, but so good I don't care.

Beautiful and horrific and magical.

Girls protect girls taken to a whole other level! I feel relatively the same as I did about the first volume: it's...different. Sex scenes were weird, and far too close to their son or their friends like Phoebe being in a frame with them and then the next second they're naked and going at it! Lol! Well I hope the end made the gross men that undoubtedly read this to see girls fuck reflect on themselves 👍

Very fun follow up to the first volume. I like the development in both story and characters. The ending did disappoint me a bit but otherwise a good read

I absolutely love this series! It’s historical, magical, inclusive and queer. Sometimes the message feels a little thick, but I love it all the same. A bit cliche to say this, but it feels empowering to read. And the illustrations are fantastic! So pumped for volume three!!

I'm giving it 3 starts purely for the art. The book itself is fine, it has moments where it brilliantly describes the struggles of women in a male-dominated world. Then you spend the rest of the book wondering where the plot went and thinking it would benefit greatly from an editor.
