The story that pre-dates Dracula, I've been wanting to read this for a little while. Laura lives with her ailing father and her live is pretty normal. Until an unexpected guest, Carmilla, shows up and changes everything.

She is beautiful, alluring and dangerous. Her behaviour grows more and more erratic, drawing Laura in for the ride. Does love trump hate? Loathing? Fear?

Absolutely a must-read and I can't wait to get a hard copy for my shelf.

A sapphic vampire novella that’s beautifully written- what’s not to love? I love this version edited my Machado with her introduction, it really adds dimension to the story. Highly recommend!

It started off pretty good but kind of lost its steam and punch towards the end. Still a good read if you like the original Carmilla story.

I really enjoyed this novella. I need to get a different copy because mine is a very odd edition.

I wish there was more on Carmilla's background and more to the story, but it was a good length and it fit the length of the story.
