I'm so torn...

The world was amazing, but the magic was vague.
Eldas is swoon-worthy, but annoyingly sad and angsty.
Luella is intelligent and determined, but just straight-up annoying.
Hook is just the goodest boy!!

I am not sure I can find the right words to do this book justice.

The world building was flawless and so well thought out. The characters had true depth and growth. The story was one of magic, love and a fierce woman who refused to accept who she was told to be and decided to change the world for the better.

I loved everything about this book and could not help but keep turning the page. The relationship between Eldas and Luella was a slow burn with all the tension of a rushed and forced marriage.

I always love when the MC has a career and a purpose, separate to the quest of the story and Luella's healing is woven into the story effortlessly and mixed with her newfound magic.

If you haven't read this please go check it out!

This was a cute fantasy romance. The plot was interesting and I loved that it revolved around saving two worlds.

I felt like the relationship between Eldas and Luella wasn't that well developed. Their romance really lacked luster and seemed off. It felt like Eldas was supposed to be this all encompassing lover and he really wasn't. On their own their characters were pretty good, I felt like they could have been developed a little better.

Overall, it was a good book. Nothing monumental or show stopping about it that makes it stand out among other fantasy romances for me. However, I did enjoy it and if you enjoy a quick simple fantasy romance this would be a good one for you.
