It was a short and sweet interlude, FM's POV is an interesting addition. The only thing souring the narration would be her should I/should I not with Rig. It is fairly in the background and if her final decision happened 1-2 chapters sooner it would have been great. But as it stands it overshadows the narrative a bit too much for my liking. The figuring out of how the taynix operate and exactly what they are was nicely led through and led to some great moments.

The excessive focus on the Taynix in the book made me so extremely happy and I wish more than anything that I could have one as a pet. The amount of times I smiled due to slugs was just unreal and made this universe that much more endearing to me. It was nice to get a more well-rounded view of the characters besides Spen.
