this had such a classic children's book feel, i really enjoyed it. the protaganist, piper, finds herself travelling through time and makes friends with rosie, a girl from about 50 years ago. it almost reminded me of edward eager a little; the way little bits of magic were shot through in ordinary life. the ending would have fit perfectly into one of his novels too

Perfect Christmas read full of friendship, literary references and magic. Didn’t expect to love it quite this much.
