I enjoyed the friends-to-lovers aspect, and it's rare for a friends-to-lovers where the characters realise their feelings together after years of friendship, instead of one or both of them secretly pining for years, so that was a nice take on the trope. Griff's relationship with his ex-wife was also really nice, I could have used a bit more time with her and his son in the story.

Best friends to lovers romance.
Griff and Heath has been platonic best friends their whole life; after Griff's divorce from his wife (who's also his business partner), Griff asks his bff to show him how to live his life as a single man.
Heat is happy to help, in fact, what could possibly go wrong?

They start feeling attracted to each other and the fact that they are so close, that they've been best friends since forever only add force to their attraction.
There are a lot of hot, sweet, funny moments between them. And so so much love.

What prevented me from giving a higher rate:
I'm not very fond of Felix, I think he's a little bit immature and selfish.
Same goes for Poppy: couldn't she leave her EX husband alone and go live her own life instead of meddling?

Anyway, the gang is here, supportive and chaotic as ever.
Recommended.

I received a copy of this book from ForewordPR and this is my honest review

PLANTONIC RULEBOOK is the second installment of the Divorced Men's Club (DMC) series. It can be read as a stand alone but reads better in the order the author intended.

Griff has been waiting for his son to go off to college to have the fresh start that's been coming for years. Griff and Poppy love each other but know the marriage is over. They agree to wait until their son Felix is in college to get divorced. Griff has known he's been bisexual most of his life and was okay not exploring that side on himself until getting this fresh start and being with a man is all he can think of. But it's been almost twenty years since he's dated and a while since he's had sex. He feels so out of his element and so unprepared to start this part of his life he turns to his best friend, Heath and the men of the DMC for advice.

Heath has always been in Griff's corner. They've been best friends for years and he'd do whatever he could be make Griff happy. Heath and Griff work together at the motel he and Poppy own together. With Poppy stepping away from the business it puts Griff and Heath in even closer situation. While trying to help Griff with his dating issues and business Heath can't help but fall for his best friend. When the sexual tension between them is too much they know where they stand and nothing with ruin their friendship. Or does one night change everything they thought they knew?

I loved everything about this read. Nothing reads better than friends to lovers and Saxon James writes this one spectacularly! The chemistry between Heath and Griff builds with every page until it can't be contained. I love the DMC and the friendship that exists between these men. I can't wait to see what's next for them.
