This is a typical Clive Cussler novel, it's an action adventure and thriller all rolled into one. It's the sort of book you would expect from Clive Cussler. North Koreans trying to take over South Korea while blaming Japan by attacking America with World War 2 biological weapons.

I enjoyed this novel.

Except for one thing. There are two characters in this book with the same name Dirk Pitt, senior and junior. This book is part of the Dirk Pitt series but this book focuses on junior more than senior and I think it's time to more the character to a new series.

the continual rescue of a character named Clive Cussler always makes me shake my head and roll my eyes every time it shows up in each of his books.... dumb.

The premise for this book was very enticing. Then it was ruined with the constant repetitiveness. This story would’ve been so much better if it was done in 250-300 pages. Sometimes (majority) extra filler does not make a good story.
