A Beautiful Wedding by Jamie McGuire

The only version of A Beautiful Wedding available in local bookstores was in hardcover and I simply didn't want to spend that much money on a novella, even if I did love Travis and Abby. Lo and behold, my amazing sister in Georgia bought me the UK trade paperback and sent it to me so I was finally able to read this in May. ^.^

Maybe my expectations were a tad too high because of how much I loved both Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster. After reading the novella in one sitting though, I felt it wasn't really all that necessary to the story of Travis and Abby. Was a good read? Yes, it was. Would I say it was an awesome read? Not really, and that pains me because I've loved all of Jamie McGuire's books before this one. :(

Do I think reading A Beautiful Wedding is an absolute must? Nope, but if you're a fan of the series, there's no harm in reading it nor do I think it's horrible or shouldn't be read at all. I'm just saying that it's not absolutely necessary. However, if you're willing to spend on it and need an added dose of one of NA's favorite couples, then yes, go, go, go! Hey, I have it sitting on my shelf and I certainly don't regret reading it.

A Beautiful Wedding gets 4 stars out of five. The story was pretty good but I found myself wanting more. ^.^

This was a pretty short book (146 pages) in the Beautiful series - probably best was between books 2 and 3. I don’t really feel that this added anything to the story though and was a bit pointless

DISCLAIMER: Travis Maddox is and will always be my favorite bad boy of all time! There is no one that even compares to him, and BD is one of my all time favorite books.

Having said that, I was a tad disappointed with this novella. I just didn't buy into the whole reasoning for the trip to Vegas and wedding. It went against so much of what I felt in BD. Then, after their return, that reason is barely mentioned. I struggled with the book until after the 50% mark. However, the actual "wedding" was amazing and their vows and renewal vows were stellar! I did fall in love with them a little even more, especially the ending. To me, that alone was worth the read.

I wouldn't discourage anyone from reading this book! I think all Travis fans will judge the book differently, and maybe I am more harsh than most.

"I guess the beautiful disaster turned into a beautiful wedding."

"One down, forever to go."

My God, he was perfection. He was sexy, he was brave, he was tender, and Travis Maddox was mine."

See I wish Travis was like this in the other books. He grew up so much in this novella. 3.5 stars.

Este libro súper corto me gustó ya que son momentos que no conocíamos, hace que me siga encariñando con los personajes y que nunca los olvide.
