A very carl hiaasen book. Florida love. Nature love. Respect for wildlife and nature both flora and fauna. A heavy dose of poking at pop culture in this case survivalist tv shows. Cute fast fun. Perhaps the whole Tuna story line was dark, and sad I hope it helps those that need it.

Another great book from Hiaasen. I love his YA books. This one had less of an eco-warrior spin than the previous novels. This is a fun story about Wahoo, his dad, his friend Tuna, her dad and a fake survivalist on reality TV. There is suspense and mystery and lots of adventure.

If you liked "Hoot" or "Flush" but Carl Hiaasen, you are going to love "Chomp!" This book, like his others, mix humor with an environmental issue, set in Florida. The main characters are easy to picture and I couldn't read this book fast enough!

a fun little book with quirky characters (kids named after fish, wild animal wranglers, a comically out of shape tv survivalist) in an exotic locale (the everglades). FYI, there's a wee bit of language, a drunken dad who hits his daughter, and some gunshot wounds, so little ones, read with caution. the plot had some "meh" points for me, but it was funny and fun and i'll definitely read more by hiaasen!

This was fabulous. The setting and plot made for some hilarious tales and dialogue, but there were action-packed scenes of bravery and compassion too. I highly recommend for anyone maybe 12 and up? (I think there are two bad words and one serious issue - although the issue isn't hard to handle, if that makes sense.)
