A very short but beautiful book. I watched the Disney film with Harrison Ford and that stayed with me for ages, so I knew I had to read the book. It was cool reading and seeing the film in my mind as I read, though there were changes made to the plot for the film which makes sense having now read the book. I think I resonate with Buck a little; I think we all do.

It was super fun reading about animals and from an animal's perspective, not many books do that!

Ultimately a 4.25/5. Wish it was longer but tbh it didn't need to be longer, I just like reading about Buck!

I wasn't enjoying the book. It was too much for me with animal cruelty in the first few pages.

I was obsessed with this book as a kid (around 5 or 6). Now I feel like my tastes have changed, but it's still an interesting read. Depressing of course because animal abuse, but intriguing with the way London describes the feral qualities present in [all?] animals.

I really didn’t think I’d enjoy this book, as the people I know who love it are mostly boys I went to elementary school with, but I really loved this story. I don’t know if it’s common knowledge, but I didn’t know if was from the perspective of the dog and I really enjoyed how Jack London wrote his perspective. I really fell in love with Buck and other characters.
