I inhaled this book. What I loved most was Sally Rooney’s writing style. Informal, quirky and addictive. I now want to read everything she has written from
her debut novel to the notes she makes on the back of receipts.

I’ve must have forgotten through the years how actually sad and depressing this book is. (Maybe it’s even more depressing in German.) And still it’s Sally Rooney’s best book, in my opinion. I’m not sure if she will ever write something as strong as Connell’s and Marianne’s story.
