This was so unexpected lol. The definition of don’t judge a book by its cover. It was sweet and funny! As if that wasn’t enough it was spicy! The man has a very very dirty mouth and is very very good at phone calls

Read on vacation - this hit the right note as I didn't really want to read a fantasy or thriller.

The author's tone of voice and writing generally worked for me - as did Book 1 of the series. In the end I enjoyed this quite a bit. Funny and I found the relationship quite hot and funny too. The ending third was wobbly and didn’t really work for me. The about-face was too quick after the song and dance of independence. But that’s ok - most of the book was really good.

No real innovation but since it made me smile during vacation … 4 stars ⭐️ for that.

Cute quick read but not super my style—very predictable storyline, don’t love the slight miscommunication trope and last minute epiphanies. Quick spice fix, served its purpose as a palate cleanser between heavy series!

The Billionaire's Wake-up-call Girl grabbed my interest with the blurb and kept it all the way to chapter 9. The set-up was exciting and I was buzzed to see how the heroine would pull off the wake-up-call sessions without being caught. The first two encounters were good, but chapter 10 was a total disaster for me. I enjoy dirty talk, but playful and steamy is more my preference. I really can't enjoy a sex scene (via telephone or not) where the tone and level of aggression rivals that of an assault. That's not my idea of sexy. Also, a hero who enjoys flaunting his image as an asshole turns me off. So this is a DNF for me.

Very pleasantly surprised by this one! It was funny and hot. The premise and plot are a little ridiculous but it works with the tone of the book. I also appreciated the FMC and her friend interacted like real women do and their use of technology was very normal/believable (strangely, that’s rare for modern books). The MMC was hot and their banter was great. I will check out more books by this author for sure!
