A very staid, almost bearable, procedural crime novel, that I decided to read after completing a previous instalment. It was engaging enough that I kept going, but I mostly lost interest as the story progressed. The characters were a little too bland and uninteresting to me, and the story lacked tension. I won't read any more by this author.

I really enjoyed this book but I think it could’ve been much shorter. There was quite a bit of filler which I think could’ve done without. I loved the plot and the twists and the pace the mystery’s were uncovered.
