This book really exemplifies the "Happy For Now" trope rather than "Happy Ever After"! I liked that the author didn't try to cram a big sweeping romance into 100-200 pages, she just gave us a snapshot of Joia and Teddy starting out on this wild and crazy road ahead. It was mega cute and full of warm and fuzzies.

I don't typically gravitate toward Single Parent, Surprise Pregnancy, or Celebrity/Influencer storylines, and yet this somehow completely worked for me! I really connected with Joia and could feel her fear and anxiety over her life being turned on its head over night. Teddy was a really sweet love interest too and I enjoyed their banter and dynamic.

Christina C Jones just really knows how to write a damn cute and funny romcom. Can't wait to read the third book in this series!

✨ Book Review ✨

I’m on to book #2 of the Love Sister Novellas & I’ve fallen in love with the sisters. So May we’ve met Jacklyn & got into her love story. In this book we get to meet Joia and follow her through a new journey, the ending left me wanted more but I’m ready for book #3.

Joia or “ Miss Fit Bitch” as they call her is a up and coming fitness content creator and influencer. As a woman in her mid twenties, she’s all about building her brand, working towards her future and well everything is about her. Until one day when shes filming a live stream with her sisters Jac & Jemma and complaining about how she can’t get rid of her stubborn fat. Jokingly they suggested she was pregnant, and she’s thinking there’s no way she can be pregnant so when her sister Jemma pulls out a pregnancy test for her to take and she has no problem taking it and then sharing the results with her followers. The only problem is it’s not the result she expected and now she has to figure out her next move.

A good book slightly abrupt ending wish we couldve seen more of the relationship blossom and a snippet of life after the baby.

This was a bit different from the first book. I definitely thought this one ended a bit too quick. For me, I couldn't feel the connection between the MCs. They have a history with one another but I didn't feel it. Joia also had a hard time letting people in once they did her wrong which is completely understandable but considering the decisions they made by the end of the book, I expected to feel more than I did.
