I love the storyline in this book. It really sets the scene for the last book. You learn so much about Voldemorts past and character. Itā€™s intriguing.Ā

This one broke my heart in the end. So many things happened and haven't yet happened with the end of six books, it's overwhelming how much one story can stir up so many emotions. I love these characters and their journeys.Ā

By far, the most heartbreaking book of the series...I forgot how sad this series gets until I read this book. Still a good read but not my favoriteĀ

4 out of 5 ā˜†ā€™s.

ā€œIt is the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more.ā€

ą©ˆāœ©ā€§ā‚ŠĖš

While I appreciated getting to learn a bit more about the world and certain families in this novel,Ā ā€œHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Princeā€ was a bit of a frustrating read for me.

Dumbledoreā€™s riddles about the Horcruxes were rather grating to read (I mean itā€™s not like weā€™re on a time crunch here or anything šŸ™„) and the constant repetition of the flashback scenes / meetings became monotonous to read about after awhile.

I also understand why Dumbledore was so quick to brush aside Harryā€™s concerns about Dracoā€™s allegiances, but I feel as though some others (Ron + Hermione + etc.) shouldā€™ve believed him after a certain point?Ā

I know that Harry was mistaken about theĀ situationĀ that occurred at the end of OOTP, but itā€™s not as though his theories havenā€™t saved everyoneā€™s lives numerous times before?Ā

He even began to have more concrete reasonings to support his beliefs as the story continued, and yet everyone just brushed his findings aside as though they were unfounded. :(

#JusticeForHarry.

Hell! The movie wasn't this sad! šŸ˜

Seriously, I was annoyed by Draco Malfoy from book 1-5, but in this book... he was so miserable. Even Harry Potter himself pitied him. Malfoy was less cocky and more pale and ill-looking in this book. The scene in the bathroom somehow wrenched my heart; he was indeed just a boy.

Anyway, this book tells a hella good romance between Harry and Ginny. I liked the book version more than the film. I'm curious though, why did they add that muggle girl in the opening scene of the movie? It seemed unnecessary and made Harry look less interested in Ginny.

For someone who never watched the movie, this book delivered a big shocking twist at the end. And a big heartbreak as well! It was really well-written, so you could feel the thrill, sadness, and misery.

I didn't find any flaws in this book. I may be biased, but so far, this is my favorite book of the series! 5 stars deserved! ā
