Really enjoying my reread of the series. Would I necessarily be as enthusiastic about modern books with white authors drawing on ideas of indigenous spiritualism and mythology? No. But in consideration of the time it was made I am giving it a bit of grace (and these books are all secondhand so I didn't give him any cash for it, but I would recommend finding stories with indigenous authors over this, as enjoyable as it is)
