I purchased this book a while ago but didn't pick it up until a week after the passing of my cat, Finn. I knew this was what I needed to read and it has helped and comforted me greatly. 

The book itself is broken into chapters, each character having their own. I often read just one story at a time, meaning that the book read quickly and had a fast pace, but I took my time reading it. The writing was clear, easy to follow, and didn't feel repetitive at all. I was moved and inspired, but it was also light enough that I wasn't bawling the whole way through. 

I know the author has an accent and I'm not sure if that was what was coming through the writing, but some parts read a little awkwardly, but that may just be where I'm from! 

I hope more people read this lovely book, and maybe it will offer some comfort.

Simply remarkable. Hadley’s compassion inspires readers to reimagine their own outlooks on life while the stories of her hospice patients uplift and enlighten all. Hadley shows readers that death is a natural end of life, not something to be afraid of, and that with proper hospice cares deaths can be peaceful and beautiful remembrances of a life well lived.
