I thought this would be an interesting account of life after death from a medical professional. Itâs really just a âI found god againâ story 𤎠if youâre religious or want to be religious this is a good book to reinforce that. If you have religious trauma I DO NOT recommend this

This book focuses heavily on the end of life care of the authors patients, there is a lot of care taken with each story but please tread carefully with triggers. She does also discuss aspects of her own life including pregnancybits_and_pieces_odds_and_ends's review against another edition

Two things I would have liked:
1) I wish there was a little more detail about each patient. I was left wanting more!Â
2) This relates to the first thing, but I saw lots of Hadleyâs TikToks before reading the book and I felt like she gave away too much in her previews of the book. I thought for some patients that reading the book would give me a deeper dive into their lives than the TikTok previews did, and I really felt like the TikTok previews proved to be a little too much of âspoilers,â almost. Iâm still glad I read it though!!!Â
I really appreciate that even after all her experiences, she isnât pushing religion. Sheâs just sharing that she believes her experiences point to âsomethingâ coming next.Â

One chapter details the hospice experience of a man in a tent experiencing homelessness.
