Reading vlog (Out of my comfort zone books):

This was a very endearing and melancholy interconnected set of short stories.
I really enjoyed the gentle sci-fi element of the time travelling, but it was mainly a character study of the people we meet in this cafe and what they want to achieve by going back in the past; often times they want to prove to themselves that the present really can't change, but equally so, it is about closure, moving on, and finding happiness and purpose again, by opening your heart and mind.

So despite being melancholy, with a bittersweet romance in tone, it has a hopeful, beautiful quality to the tale too. There was this overarching tranquility to the setting of this dimly lit cafe and the people that frequented it.

The characters were very strange people. They were so complex, not many were at all likeable, but they felt real.

I can't say I fell as in love with this as many readers seemed to, but I certainly enjoyed it nonetheless.

Lovely short story collection where the stories were all interlinked. I really liked the style of writing and how the author moved on through each story, introducing the protagonist of the next story in the beginning of the current one - though that was really clever. This book was so heartwarming and emotional - the last story made me cry and really got me in the feels. I liked that the protagonists were all different ages and all had their own backstories. You really got to know the characters despite only spending a shot time with them. Because the cast was so diverse, I feel like everyone will relate to at least one of the characters or their stories.

This was pretty cute, and emotional. I wish some of it would've been different, and even though some parts made me confused, and I didn't understand the reasoning behind a few decisions made, I loved reading about it and geting used to the characters. The plot was great and so was the atmosphere, I wish I had read this while sitting down on a café somewhere, drinking coffee. Except, I'd like for it to have AC.
