It was fine but a little boring. The entire book led to nothing, won’t be continuing the series. Another book that blends in with a lot of other lackluster fantasies. I never really connected to any of the characters.

4⭐️ I was pleasantly suprised by this and really enjoyed it.  Main character gave big Celaena Sardothian vibes which I loved

1st read ⭐️⭐️⭐️

2nd re-read ⭐️⭐️⭐️first time I honestly flew through it that i didn’t really feel like I gave it a good chance.

Keera is the Kings favored assassin, she gets sent in a mission to find and kill “The Shadow” who’s been making moves against the king.

Keera goes through both a physical and emotional journey where she grapples to find meaning/purpose while battling alcoholism and depression(def check all trigger warnings)

I can’t wait for the next book to come out because that ending had me re-thinking everything. I need to know where it all goes from here.

it was super enjoyable & mosrly well written - at times I even thought it could be (close to) a 5 stars - but I did Not like the end.
though I saw the twist mostly coming, I did not like how it happened & while I'm sure there's gonna be a good explanation at some point idk if it'll be satisfactory...

but will def continue
