So, basically this is a solo adventure for Dungeons and Dragons players, where the player is Alice, yes, that Alice, from Alice in Wonderland, who stumbles back into Wonderland to save it. There are three ways to play it: With normal, classical dice, with playing cards (it's Alice in Wonderland after all) or by just assuming that you're almighty and win all your freaking fights.

The atmosphere of this new, dark and twisted adventure is already set in the introduction of a sleeping Alice woken up by a rabbit who is no longer a rabbit with a watch, but a rabbit AND a watch. And from that moment, Alice's fate (and Wonderland's) lies in the hands of the reader/player. You can even decide NOT to jump in the rabbit hole (I did that...guess what: Ended up there anyway at some point!).

During my short solo session of 1,5 hours without dice, without cards and without paper to write things down (I was too tired and exhausted to get it) I already had quite some adventures and enjoyed it immensely. Meeting all those familiar characters, but in different states, was really cool and the new threat unleashed upon Wonderland is truly scary. Apart from that there are some really cool things in the book. Like the fact that I actually ended up going in circles for about 15 minutes in the Labyrinth before I finally found my way out of the circle by finally make the one choice that would NOT lead me back to the paragraphs I had already read.

And just when I thought that maybe I was getting somewhere (it's hard to know, since the quest really did send me across the ENTIRE book!)...I DIED! (So far for almighty winner of all fights...)

I can't wait to truly play this with a deck of card and the character sheet, because I'm sure there are many more adventures in this book I haven't discovered yet!
