I'm 21 now.. And I'm mature enough to know that I don't completely understand Murakami yet but I do enjoy whenever I read his works. I feel lonely and understood at the same time. Very serene feeling.

I'm not usually a fan of short stories, but Murakami's style works well in this format. Each story was the perfect slice of magical realism and melancholy. I often find Murakami's works to be a bit of a slog - worth it in the end - but challenging to get through. I found this collection to be a quick, and enjoyable, way to access Murakami's beautiful writing and thought-provoking world.
