Not sure why this evil man has the nick-name the Dating Game killer - granted, he WAS on an episode of the Dating Game, none of his kills have anything to do with the dating game. I did enjoy the writing in this novel, it kept things moving along. I also liked that the author focused a lot on the victims, we learned quite a bit about them during the novel. I did do a google check, and the evil man is now dead - though the cause was natural - he just kept hangin' on through multiple death penalty verdicts

Stella Sands did a terrific job with this one. I really liked her writing style & bite sized chapters. I enjoyed the short chapters a lot, I felt as though I wasn’t being bombarded with information. I really learned about Rodney Alcala and I learned a lot about what was happening in the world while he was committing his crimes.

The ending was a little long winded but over all I enjoyed this book.

I feel like this could have been a bit shorter. The second half seemed to drag a bit and took too long to wrap up. That being said, this had me hooked. Alcala's luck with the law was astounding at times, and these cases truly show how far advances in DNA technology have brought us. A solid true crime book.

I'm fairly certain I'd heard of Alcala before, but didn't know much about him. Calling him "the dating game killer" is kind of a misnomer, in my opinion, because his rap sheet had nothing to do with his appearance on said show. But to say it isn't creepy. . .

This book got a bit repetitive and the short chapters were rather obnoxious, but other than that, it read quickly and was written in a fairly engaging style.
