I think my problem with this book was that people hyped it up for me and I ended up predicting the end halfway through. Great idea for a story I just found it a bit too predictable.

Decent/fast paced read… but I definitely figured out the plot twist halfway through the book.

Very predictable and quite a bit far-fetched. But also a super easy and quick read, low-key after a heavy novel.

This book was not as “scary” as I had expected based on reviews, however Ruth Ware certainly knows how to build suspense and keep you reading. I found that the plot was a little predictable, but I still very much enjoyed it. I always feel very deeply for the vivid characters she writes and this book was no exception.

So I loved the story, but I couldn't get past (and this is an early reveal) that a 26 year old woman would still have arrested development over a ten year old, 6 month long, high school relationship. I mean, the later reveal about the relationship doesn't make it any more believable! Then, the last reveal just never made sense.

But I did really like the story telling. It was engaging. And if I had no experience as a human being, and could suspend disbelief as much as required for this book, it would have been excellent.
