I loved this book. I read it in one setting. The real magic, though, comes in returning to the book, flipping to a page - any page - and letting the words sink in.

I told myself I would review all of my books this year so I am going back through and doing so. This book needs no review tbh. Cheryl is a badass and her quotes make me feel like one too. Thanks, girl.

If I didn’t already love Cheryl Strayed I’m not sure I’d like this collection of quotes. Pulled out of context and placed in seemingly random order, her words don’t have near the power they do in book, podcast, and interview form. While I dogeared a handful of favorites, on the whole I wasn’t super moved.

I’ve read this through over two days, and have taken a lot from it. It’s empowering. This book will be a constant reference as some quotes will be needed at other times more than others, I’m happy to have this in my collection.

Strayed has a knack for putting into words the things the rest of us feel, but have no words of our own to express. This short book is filled with her insights into this life that we are all getting through in our own way. This would make a great gift for a graduation present.

This book is great for the quote-loving, inspiration-seeking among us. It is a short book with little text, but a powerful punch. I loved it and I am planning to give copies to friends because the quotes feel like things that will be references for those less-than-perfect moments we all have and need to work through.
