I have enjoyed this series so far, and most of this book was so good, until the last 25% of the book.
SpoilerThe author took a SERIOUS anti abortion stance that was frightening. All the men were hostile to the pregnant woman at the thought she might not fight to have a baby. It was bizarre, to the point that, instead of TALKING TO HER, they threw this potentially pregnant woman into a cold, metal cell, forced her to have sex handcuffed, and then she was told she WOULD be having sex (this was necessary for the fetus to grow, apparently) whether she liked it or not (so, rape), twice a week until the baby was born. At the point of birth, her imprisonment would end and she could leave.

Sigh. The character didn't want the male to feel forced to stay with her because of a pregnancy. Her crew knew this and they STILL treated her like a pariah, instead of TALKING through options. A bunch of males making a decision about what this woman would and would not do with her body was horrifying.

I don't know if I'm going to continue with this series after this. It was shocking to me.

This is a review of the audio book.

One night when Sam and her crew indulge a bit too much, they find themselves on what they think is a desolate planet in search of a wild beast to catch to finish off their scavenger hunt list but what they catch is something more deadly than a wild beast. Prince Falke decides that he must gain the crews trust to find his way home, but it seems fate has other things in mind before Falke can go home. Will Sam find what she needs with Falke or will the two forever ignore their hearts?

This is an engaging listen. The characters are strong and developed. I enjoyed most of the story but towards the end it started to drag. Miscommunication and denial make up a lot of the story. It soon becomes a bit boring when each time you think things will get resolved but the pain continues and even the supporting characters soon have enough of it. I enjoyed the interaction of the characters the love and friendship is very evident in everything that they do. Narrator Michael Ferraiuolo does a nice job of bringing the emotions out in the characters and quickly pulled me into its world.

Funny and sexy

I laughed so hard at some parts of this book. I loved that it was set off world and that even the most serious of the princess found his mate. On to the next in the series. Michelle is an excellent writer

Prince Falke, commander of the Var Army, is in a bit of a pickle!! Whilst out for a run he was kidnapped by the sozzled crew of Samantha's ship. They are taking part in a galaxy wide scavenger hunt and they stopped off to capture a wild beast. Tranq'd and hauled off to their ship, when he wakes up Falke is one ticked off big cat!!!!

Once Sam realises what she had done, she tries to return Falke but her motley crew sold off their extra fuel and she is forced to visit her home planet. Whilst en-route Falke endears himself with the crew and the steam between them is immense!!! But when her father tried to mould her into a mindless pawn, Falke and her crew manage to escape. Many hijinks follow before Falke can be returned home.

I loved the familt atmosphere between Sam and her all male crew. Falke is a deep well of understated passion and I'm so enjoying this entire series!!! No spoilers but Lyssa's outburst is hilarious!!!!!
