Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes is an accompaniment book to Pretty Girls.

I felt that this book was a great addition to the Pretty Girls book. This story follows Julia during the days leading up to her kidnapping.

Throughout Pretty Girls, you develop an idea of how Julia was as a person. You leaned everyone else's idealism of her and how they viewed her. You never got a chance to hear Julia's perspective on her own life, something I greatly missed.

However, in this book, readers get a glimpse into who Julia actually was. Julia was not always the person she portrayed herself to be. There was so much more to her than what she revealed. She had a lot depth to her character, even connecting the dots between the disappearance of other girls just like her.

This book really is quite emotional, as it makes Julia's disappearance more heartbreaking than it was before. There was so much potential for her in life.

This book should definitely be read AFTER Pretty Girls. I listened to this one on audiobook as well, and I am very pleased that I did.

Not the best

Short story with a foreseeable ending. Scary statistics don't make good reading in my book. Oh well, can't win em all, right?

I really like Karin Slaughter but this barely kept my attention. It took me six days to finish the two hour audio.

Great prequel to “Pretty Girls”!  I almost wanted to hear about her family after she during those first days she was gone. Also wish it could’ve tied into the police officers in town who were at fault!

I appreciated the set up and getting more of an idea on who Julia was after reading Pretty Girls. She’s truly a brilliant writer!

So glad I found this Prequel because I was interested in a little insight to who Julia is after reading Pretty Girls. It was short but good! Makes me want to read Pretty Girls again lol.
