Received this as an ARC from the publisher, which does not influence my opinion.

At times, I felt like there was something missing—a little more detail or clarification, for example. Occasionally, this felt like the skeleton of a story. Yet sometimes there were almost-superfluous-seeming parts that I didn’t know how to connect to the plot.

On the whole, it’s difficult for me to know precisely how I feel about the book, or all the ideas Ferrada was presenting in the work. But the parts that really affected me are so skillful that I can’t give this book a lower rating. I believe there is a lot of intelligence and understanding of humanity within this small book, and although I didn’t quite know how to interpret some parts of the book, I think my uncertainty says more about the complexity of the book, and not its failings
