like if your sassy smart older sister explained science to you, but also she’s the milky way

I wasn't expecting it to be like the Milky Way was actually telling me about their origin. I couldn't get into it.

This book was so funny and I fully agree that that's *exactly* how the galaxy would talk about us all lol

I wanted to learn, but I didn’t want it to feel so much like a text book. The dedication is literally for people who haven’t felt “sciency enough” but then the book is HEAVY on the science, which duh. But I just can’t get into it. And the Milky Way is kinda b*tchy lol

Just not for me - I think the way some parts were written killed the ideas the author wanted to convey, like during the galaxies can have depression too and I am in a long distance, long time love affair with the Andromeda galaxy parts. Points for originality though; I thought the new narration style (1st person and non garrulous explanations) carried the flow.  Go axioms!
