I'm honestly at a loss for words after completing this story. There was something about Maestro that caught me, and just going off by the cover and a bit of the details I saw, it's a romance that deals with classical music. It interested me, especially considering how I used to be a violinist for six years in my life.

What was intimidating to me, though, was the length. Over 700 pages, and the first thing I thought to myself was that this book was going to take me a long time to get through.

I was wrong. I never expected this book to take me a matter of days to complete, but not only that, the entire story from start to finish kept me so engaged and enthralled with the characters and the writing itself.

Before I begin, Maestro is a story that is not going to be for everyone. It's one that's not only lengthy, but heavily character based and driven, and it moves at a slow pace.

There's also a LOT that goes on throughout the work. And, of course, there's happy moments, sad moments, intense ones, and of course, romantic moments.

That being said, Maestro is a love story between Aurelia Preston, a cellist, and Chadwick "Chad" David, a violinist and child prodigy. The two first meet at LaGuardia, and Aurelia cannot help but be smitten by him. From there, Aurelia and Chad go from being two strangers to one another to becoming friends and eventually lovers, with a story that spans across for decades. It starts off in the 1990s and then it carries on into the 2010s.

This story is both friends to lovers, and also second chance. It's also mostly in Aurelia's perspective, with Chadwick also getting his POV in the novel as well. There are honestly no words to describe just how much I absolutely loved and adored this story.

Everything about this work just, well, it works. I loved seeing Aurelia and Chad's relationship appear throughout this entire novel, going from friends to lovers, and dealing with things within their lives. Chad and Aurelia's families are both completely different from one another, especially considering how Aurelia found out at a young age about
her father and him having an affair with her biological mother's nurse, Priscilla.

There's a moment that occurs in the work, with it resulting in Chad and Aurelia experiencing heartbreak.
From there, the second part arrives, going to four and a half years, with Aurelia now staying with a friend, Agnes.

Part Two is the longest part in the work, and a lot of things go down in it.
Chad and Aurelia reunite, Aurelia experiences loss with Priscilla dying, and also her finding about what Chad had done with Sera.
Everything throughout this part, and the novel itself, it's raw, intense, and realistic. And I loved every single moment of it.

Of course, the book also gets quite steamy at parts. I was honestly a bit surprised with how some of the steam in the novel went 😳.

Another thing that I loved in General with this story is all the characters. Because all of the characters in their forms are all flawed. And man, the amount of twists in this story I was very shocked by at times and didn't see coming.

I'll make a list at the end but there's a bunch of moments in this work that I loved.

And then, there's the final part of this novel, which is after
Chadwick gets into the car crash and everything that comes after the crash. This is all after Chad finds out that his son, Astor, is not his biological son, and finds out that it's Gabriel's.

Chadwick is in the hospital, his career has gone on to achieve and go through amazing heights, but the crash and everything that happened after caused him to change, and Aurelia does help him out with that. The entire chapter with Aurelia talking over to Chad on the hospital bed and going over all the memories that had taken place between the both of them, and then everything that goes down after, made me sob. A lot. And also be relieved at the same time.

In the end, Chadwick and Aurelia did get their HEA, and one that I loved. The acknowledgments from the author, Auden Dar, made me appreciate it even more, and also made me see how personal the entire story from start to finish is.

While this book is a 5 star read, I'm simply going beyond that, and it's definitely one of my favorite Romance novels of all time, and one of my favorite books of all time. I just loved this entire work, plus Chad and Aurelia's relationship and their ups and downs.

And to close off, I have a lot of moments that I enjoyed throughout this work. I won't name them all, but
Chad and Aurelia just laying down and talking to one another on the bed is something I loved, plus Chad giving Aurelia flowers, also the emails and letters exchanges between the both of them I adored 😭❤.

And the reunion scene with them at the hotel in Boston....😳. The fact that it was from Chad's POV during those steamy times had me, those two chapters will live in my mind rent free.

Aurelia talking over to Chad and telling him about all the time they've spent together I absolutely loved, and was very emotional over, too.

Like I said, there's a lot that happens throughout this novel. There's so many quotes from this novel that I just absolutely adored too. ❤

Needless to say that I'll definitely be checking out Auden Dar and more of her works soon.

This entire novel was a love story of beautiful, heartbreaking, and heartfelt emotions. And I absolutely loved the entire ride, and will cherish it for years to come.
