A shocking and important book that everyone should definitely read!

I was afraid it would be a boring book, but it was the opposite. Something was happening all the time, it was interesting and openly told - and agonizing. The events in the book were absolutely shocking and you wouldn't want to believe them. It really made me think and worry, and I teared up a bit.

The Chief Witness is a deeply disturbing insight into the dark heart of the Chinese Communist Party and its reign of terror in Xinjiang. It will rank historically along with the great literary exposes of the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps and the Soviet gulag.
