I'm a huge Bad Kitty fan, but this one fell kind of flat. Although it did have good sections about explaining American politics, I just didn't care for this one.

I bought this for my son, since he is stuck at home for a quarantine. Turns out that I loved this more than him. I read this out loud to my 9 year old son. I did funny voices and all. I absolutely loved this book. It was a great explanation of how an election happens. It also makes a great point that it is ok when an election doesn't pan out the way you voted, but that doesn't mean you need to get upset. You just pick yourself back up and get to work for the next election. If you have a child who is asking about the election and you want a fun way for them to learn about it, THIS IS THE BOOK.

What a great introduction to the world of politics, both the ideals behind the democratic process and the reality of what goes on today during campaign season. Bad Kitty books are fresh and funny for kids and adults!

A great introduction for kids into politics and how they work. I’m sad that Bad Kitty used bad tactics to try to win the street presidency. Overall it was good and I look forward to more Bad Kitty books.

Much too long for my 3yo, but my 7yo highly approved. I found it great fun to read with her and think older kids would like it as an introduction to political theory as well.

Bad Kitty runs for President of the neighborhood cat club! This is actually a great introduction to our political system - I actually learned a few things I didn't know!

Bad Kitty for President by Nick Bruel is the newest Bad Kitty book. This series follows Bad Kitty (who is a very bad kitty) and is perfect for kids who are ready to transition from picture to chapter books. This book follows Bad Kitty as he runs for president (of the kitty association) and he learns how the American political system works.

This is a fantastic book full of laughs while also teaching readers about the political system. Bad Kitty's campaign is full of scandals and lies (inferring that his opponent may be a dog, getting in a cat fight) which are very entertaining. If you loved the other Bad Kitty books then you will love this one also.

Appropriateness: This is an illustrated novel that is perfect for kids that are moving from picture books to chapter books and it's short enough to work as a read aloud for younger readers. I recommend it to readers 4+

Probably my least favorite Bad Kitty book so far. The subject matter was too mature for my six-year-old.

I suppose this is one way to introduce young children to the political process. Bad Kitty is pretty savvy with the attack ads.
