Love Flushed by Evie Mitchell
I second everything I said in my review for Knot My Type! Love Flushed is an extremely well written Disability romance. There are many disabilities represented, and they are just part of who that person is. It is so refreshing!!!!!

Things I am here for:
Own voices Chronic Illness Representation
Annie is dramatic, and she OWNS IT!
Lincoln knows what he wants and he GOES FOR IT!
Partners, in life and love
Second Chance Romance
Women helping women
Open communication and consent during all sexual activities
Dick jewelry

Favorite quote
"But I love me. I love who I am, and who my disease has shaped me into. I'm resilient as fuck, Lincoln. I've survived my own body trying to kill me— do you have any idea how badass that is?”

This is for the #ReadDisabled2024 prompt Chronically Ill Main Character.

I think I rated this so highly purely because I listened to the audiobook and really loved the narration but I have a feeling I might not have loved it as much if I had read it with my eyeballs - although you never know. The narration truly was great and I loved that it was dual narration.

It was really feel good, there was some fantastic own voice chronic illness representation, it was super steamy and the supporting characters were so loveable. I actually made a mistake and thought I had downloaded Thunder Thighs but ended up listening to this one instead and I’m so glad I did!

I would recommend it if you love the idea of a series with amazing disability and chronic illness representation, a whole lot of butterfly inducing spice and a second chance romance.

This was such a good read. Definitely more steamy and I love a good second chance romance where it makes sense for the person to be given a second chance. Love that the author puts a lot of work into the disability rep, and shows that disabled people deserve love and romance too. The narrators did a wonderful job. Hope there are more books in this series.

I liked the characters and the story, but I think it needed more development, particularly when it came to the couple's past. Their getting back together felt rushed, especially since we don't know what happened to their relationship before the start hooking up again, and at that point only one of them knew everything that happened before. I wished they had talked and put everything on the table before they started hooking up because it would have made more sense. I do like this universe and will continue with the books. They are quick and fun read, plus the disability rep is great.

The audiobook narrator was great.

CW: misogyny, toxic parents, chronic illness (Chron's disease), ableism, hospitalization and car accident (recounted)

I really enjoyed this! I devoured it all in one day, literally a one sitting type of situation, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the all access series continues on with this friend group. 1st it was Frankie now it is Annie next it’ll be either Mai or Flo and I’m pleasantly excited to see what else Evie Mitchell has for us. I like how she has lessons for able-bodied people within her story but there’s no beating over the head with anything and that these characters other than a little bit of able ism get to just live their life and do their thing and thrive with their businesses and their love lives and it’s just wonderful I love the diversity I love the inclusivity I love the representation and it’s fun and sexy and such a damn good time.
